Not Acceptable! An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security. Using Cpanel on HostGator

Summary:

Not Acceptable! An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.

Problem or Goal:

Faced this problem on one of my websites hosted on the shared plan on HostGator's Cpanel.
It's a question and answer website for Telecom and ICT experts, i got this error trying to post my answer to this question:

https://braindrain.expert/index.php/question/how-to-configure-traffic-policing-per-sub-interface-for-bandwidth-limiting-on-cisco-asr-router/#answer-7661

Cause:

I contacted HostGator help on live chat:
https://gator4043.hostgator.com:2083/cpsess4074748396/frontend/hostgator/home/help.html

and this was their action and response:

"Thank you for holding, I appreciate your patience.
I checked for the server and the URL was blocked or malware attack reason. I have whitelisted the rule ID which was blocking the URLx
You can now check submitting an answer to this question"

Solution:

Apparently they said that the URL was suspected to be malware attack and was blocked, however they don't give details of the rules used to mark URLs as malware.

They white-listed the URL and i was able to submit the answer.

Problem Solved?

Yes, but i think it's only a work around fix, and i might run into the same issue again, the best way would be if they give you access to the firewall rules/filter and you edit them.

Quick creat a QR code for your website, facebook page or twitter page

I have just finished creating a QR code for my website URL at QR CODE GENERATOR
QRC stands for Quick Response Code.

Scans fine and you can even embed your website logo in the QR code if you choose to open a free account with them. I also like the fact that you can track the number of scans for your QR code.

SMS Coin - An alternative way of monetizing your website

I have been running a free classified's website in Uganda (Tag Sale Uganda) for over two years and recently i was looking for a way of monetizing the service. It's almost impossible to monetize such as service in a country like Uganda. Am talking about payment solutions that are easy to integrate and will be generally acceptable by your clients. I know about mobile money payment platforms but i didn't want to go in that directions because of the bureaucracies involved and also because the mobile money API is not readily available for third party integration (if it is, you have to hustle and wait in the Que)! So is there any other simple and quick way to monetize such a small online service in a country like Uganda where PAYPAL and the likes is a "no go" zone? (Yes, get it from me, PayPal is not an option here, unless your target market is the "few elite"!).
Today am happy to have landed on "SMS Coin", surely the person who developed such a solution must have been thinking about me :-), A perfect solution to monetize online content and websites in countries where the biggest population is still ignorant about internet based payments.
Monetize your online service with SMS Coin
I will without hesitation proceed to integrate this seemingly nice alternative payment gateway and will be back to tell you about the fruits, if i reap any :-).
If you were looking for a similar solution, have fun.
